The Central and South Coasts are reporting some of the lowest new COVID-19 case number in months.  243 additional cases were reported in the region Tuesday.  There were 137 in Ventura County, 64 in Santa Barbara County, and 42 in San Luis Obispo County.  The region’s total since the start of the pandemic now stands at 127,800.

14 new COVID-19 related deaths are being reported in the three counties.  Ventura County had 11, Santa Barbara County two, and San Luis Obispo County one.

All three counties remain in the state’s most restrictive COVID-19 safety tier, which is the purple tier, but the improved numbers are setting up a path towards moves into the red tier.
