Nearly 300 New Coronvirus Cases Reported On Central, South Coasts


Public health officials say the number of COVID-19 cases is continuing to grow at a worrysome rate on the Central and South Coasts, with nearly 300 new cases reported in the region.

Ventura County has 187 additional cases, Santa Barbara County 36 and San Luis Obispo County 71. 

The region’s total since the start of the pandemic now stands at 32,582.  It includes 16,649 in Ventura County, 10,612 in Santa Barbara County and 5321 in San Luis Obispo County.

No new coronavirus related deaths were reported in the three counties Tuesday.  There have been 340 deaths overall in the region. 

The breakdown by counties includes 173 in Ventura County, 133 in Santa Barbara County, and 34 in San Luis Obispo County.
