New Coronavirus Case Count For Central, South Coasts Lowest In Weeks

We’ve had one of the lowest new coronavirus cases counts on the Central and South Coasts since the start of the pandemic.  64 new cases were reported in the region Tuesday, with 15 in Ventura County, 29 in Santa Barbara County, and 20 in San Luis Obispo County.

There have 26,965 cases reported in the Tri-Counties this year, with most of those diagnosed with the virus already recovered.  The breakdown includes 13,438 cases in Ventura County, 9503 in Santa Barbara county, and 3924 in San Luis Obispo County.

A coronavirus related death was reported in San Luis Obispo County Tuesday, bringing the three-county total to 306.  Ventura County has had 158, Santa Barbara County 116, and San Luis Obispo County 32.
