South Coast University Confirms Second Coronavirus Case On Campus
A South Coast university is announcing that it’s had its second confirmed coronavirus cases. Cal State Channel Islands officials say a student who was on campus September 3rd tested positive. The student is a commuter who doesn’t live in university housing, and is now at home in isolation.
University officials say they have been working with Ventura County Public Health officials to identify, and notify those who may have come in contact with the student. The first case on campus was reported back in May.
The university is providing most of its fall classes online because of coronavirus safety concerns, but a handful are offering some in-person instruction.
