The Central and South Coasts had a good day as far as new coronavirus cases were concerned Wednesday. 167 were reported, with Ventura County having 96, Santa Barbara County 47, and San Luis Obispo County 24.
The three counties remain on the state’s watch list for not meeting all of the state’s reopening guidelines. They meet five of the six guideposts, but the counties need to stay at a case rate of less than 100 per 100,000 people for two weeks to get off the list.
There have been more than 20,900 diagnosed cases since the start of the pandemic. Most of those diagnosed have already recovered.
Three additional coronavirus related deaths were reported Wednesday, with two in Ventura County, and one in Santa Barbara County. The region’s total stands at 218.
