It was a good day Tuesday in the battle against coronavirus on the Central and South Coasts, with less than a hundred new cases reported.
91 additional cases were documented, with 43 in Ventura County, 289 in Santa Barbara County and 19 in San Luis Obispo County. It's less than a third of the daily totals we were seeing two weeks ago
There have been nearly 19,400 cases diagnosed overall in the region since the start of the crisis, with most people already recovered.
Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties each reported an additional coronavirus related death. Ventura County has had 97, Santa Barbara County 81, and San Luis Obispo County 19, for a total of 197.
While some of the statistics have been improving, all three counties remain on the state’s watch list for failing to meet all of the reopening guidance.
