New Restrictions For Some South Coast Parks Because Of Coronavirus

Another South Coast city has announced new restrictions on park usage. Most of the City of Santa Barbara’s parks remain open. But now all picnic sites are closed, and all group activities are banned.

Three of the city’s smaller parks have been closed during the crisis. Franceschi Park, Hilda McIntyre Park, and Skofield Park have been shut down indefinitely.

The city’s major parks remain open during their normal hours, from sunrise to a half hour after sunset. Park visitors are expected to practice social distancing guidelines.
