Detectives investigating death of man whose body was found off of Central Coast highway.

Man's disabled car found five miles away.

It’s a bizarre death on the Central Coast, surrounded by strange circumstances. But, at this point, detectives aren’t calling it suspicious.

The body of a man was discovered off of Highway 46 Sunday afternoon, about ten miles east of Paso Robles in the Whitley Gardens area.

The man’s disabled car was found about five miles away.

But, San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s investigators say the initial investigation doesn’t show anything which would indicate the death was suspicious.

The man’s name hasn’t been released. An autopsy is pending.
