It’s still a “go” as of right now for the launch of a rocket with a classified payload from Vandenberg Space Force Base early Friday morning.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is set to lift off from the base with a secret government payload. The launch window opens at 6:41 a.m.

If the weather cooperates, the launch should be visible throughout much of the Central and South Coast. The booster is set to land back at the base. There could be multiple sonic booms during its landing several minutes after the launch.
