Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties are following the state in relaxing indoor masking requirements on February 16.

But, those who are unvaccinated will still have to wear masks indoors.

Dropping COVID-19 numbers on the Central and South Coast mean that counties in the region will follow the state, and lift indoor mask orders. But, you may not be done with your mask yet.

As of February 16, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties are all dropping indoor masking requirements for those who are vaccinated.

But, masks will still be required for those who are unvaccinated.

And, the state is still keeping masking requirements for everyone in places like schools, healthcare facilities, long term care facilities and when using public transit.

While those who are vaccinated won’t have to wear masks in some settings after February 16, public health officials say people should consider wearing them voluntarily, for the protection of themselves and others.
