Magnitude 3.8 quake had epicenter in mountains between Santa Paula and Ojai.

Ventura County was hit by an earthquake swarm Thursday afternoon.

The largest, a magnitude 3.8 quake hit at 4:25 p.m. It was at one point reported to be a 3.9, but was later downgraded. There were more than a half dozen others, with the second largest being a magnitude 2.6 at 4:35 p.m.

The epicenter for the quakes is about six miles northwest of Santa Paula, between Santa Paula and Ojai.

There are no reports of injuries or damage. People reported feeling the larger quake in much of Ventura County, as well as in parts of Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Orange counties. Most of the other quakes were too small for people outside of the area of the epicenter to feel.
