Key section of Highway 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties to be reduced to single lanes overnight for lane striping work.

Highway 101 project set to take place overnights Feburary 7 through 12.

The latest phase of a project to repave a section of Highway 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara will mean delays for some late-night travelers.

A nearly $50 million project is underway to repave four miles of the highway from the Faria Beach to Mussel Shoals areas.

Starting on Monday night, traffic on the highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the construction zone. Crews will be restriping the highway as part of the project.

The work will take place during the overnight hours all next week, with the lane shutdowns taking place after the evening commute and the start of the morning commute.
