More big COVID-19 positive test numbers for Central, South Coasts

COVID-19 numbers continue to surge on the Central and South Coasts.

Ventura County has total of 1,699 cases Wednesday through Friday; Santa Barbara County has 1,137 one day total reported on Friday.

There are more big new COVID-19 case numbers on the Central and South Coasts, as the latest surge continues to impact the region.

Ventura County is reporting 1,699 additional cases Wednesday through Friday. The county’s positivity test rate is at 25%, so one in four people being tested is turning up positive.

Santa Barbara County had its second highest total of cases since the start of the pandemic, with 1,137 reported Friday. It’s more than a hundred less than Thursday’s total They county’s positivity test rate stands at around 24%

And, San Luis Obispo County is reporting 824 additional cases since its last update on Tuesday.
