The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the partially decomposed remains of a man found in Oxnard.

The body was found along a canal last week near Hueneme and Perkins Roads.

The man was about 5’4” tall, and wearing running shorts and a dark athletic shirt. Officials with the Medical Examiner’s Office say the person died at least several weeks ago, but that it’s possible it may have been months.

There’s no word on the cause of death.
