First responders were called to rescue what looked like a person clinging to a Santa Barbara County cliff Monday, but it turned out to be a dummy from a movie shoot.

But, rescuers discover it was actually a dummy left behind after movie shoot.

It looked like a major emergency. Some people reported seeing a woman clinging to the side of a cliff, some 30 feet from the top off the bluff

A number of first responders, including Santa Barbara County firefighters quickly spotted the reason people called for help at Hope Ranch beach.

But, the woman didn’t respond to them. It’s because it was the mannequin of a woman from a movie shoot which had been left behind.

County firefighters say while Monday afternoon’s incident turned out to be a false call, they are glad some alert people called for help, because it could have been a real emergency.
