South Coast Leader Announced Plans To Step Down

Served with City of Santa Barbara for more than two decades

A longtime public official on the South Coast has announced plans to leave his post.

Paul Casey announced he will step down as Santa Barbara’s City Administrator in September.

Casey has been with the city for more than two decades, serving in posts like Community Development Director and Assistant City Administrator. He’s served as City Administrator since 2015.

He helped guide the city through one of its most turbulent times in recent history, as Santa Barbara, like most communities struggled to cope with the impacts of the pandemic.

There’s no word about his future plans.
