Body Of Missing South Coast Woman Found; Ex-Husband Arrested On Murder Charge

Oxnard woman's body found off of Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County

There’s a tragic end to the search for a missing South Coast woman. Oxnard Police say the 46-year-old woman was murdered by her ex-husband.

Eudelia Gonzalez Rojas was last seen getting into a car with an unknown person last Saturday night. The family of the Oxnard woman reported her missing last Sunday.

Oxnard Police detectives identified her ex-husband as a suspect. They got a search warrant, and went to Salinas on Tuesday to talk to her ex-husband, Josefino Maldonado. Detectives say he confessed to killing Rojas, and dumping her body in Santa Barbara County. Her remains were found down an embankment off of Highway 101 near the Gaviota Tunnel.

Maldonado is being held at the Ventura County Jail for the murder.
