The long-awaited Federal Emergency Management Agency risk maps have been released following the evaluation of impacts from the Thomas Fire and the debris flow in January.

Hundreds of homes were damaged and destroyed in the disasters.

The maps will give communities some guidelines on where the current danger zones are located and some indication of what areas are at risk in the future.

The maps and other questions about FEMA's role in the recovery will be discussed Thursday, at the Santa Barbara County administration building at 6 p.m., and later this month at a Board of Supervisor's meeting.
