It’s an attack which has left a South Coast community stunned.  Police say a man armed with an ax, or hatchet seriously injured three people.  Port Hueneme Police detectives are still trying to sort out what happened.

They say just after 7:30 Thursday night, Greg Brewer went on a rampage on the 100 block of Seaspray Way:

Scott Matalon, with the City of Port Hueneme, says officers were there in less than two minutes.  They say they found three seriously injured men, as well as Brewer, who surrendered.

The big question is what led to it.  Matalon says investigators think it may have been the result of a dispute between some people in the neighborhood.

Brewer was arrested on attempted murder charges.
