One of the largest universities on the Central and South Coasts has announced plans for a fall schedule which will feature mostly remote classes.
UC Santa Barbara officials say they will focus on remote instruction, but that there will be some in-person offerings, and some hybrid classes. They say all classes with 50 students or more will be offered via remote instruction.
International students will be able to take all of their classes remotely, if they are available in that form. First year students concerned about coronavirus exposure will be given the same option.
There will be no changes or discounts to the tuition schedule. UCSB will have residence halls open, but with no more than two people to a room, and possible even just one. All students living at UCSB will have to have proof of negative COVID-19 tests, and visitors will not be allowed in student housing facilities.
