Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body in a field in Ventura County.
The body of a man was discovered Wednesday morning in an agricultural field near the intersection of Rose Avenue and Collins Street, north of Oxnard.
Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives haven’t identified the man yet, but say he was in his 50’s or 60’s. There’s no word on the cause of death, but the investigation is being treated as a possible homicide.
Detectives are looking for anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area during the last few days.
