Brush Fire in Ventura County Briefly Threatens Structures

Firefighters quickly got the upper hand on a brush fire which briefly threatened some structures in Ventura County.

The fire was discovered just after noon Sunday off of South Mountain Road. 

It's a rural area west of Fillmore.  The blaze grew to  more than 50 acres.

Ventura County firefighters aided by helicopters and air takers were able to stop the spread of the blaze in about an hour.  There's no word on what started the fire.
