A Ventura County congresswoman has introduced a bill intended to help people have an easier time starting a new business. AB 3706 would establish a grant program for states, and local governments to develop procedures to help people cut through red tape in getting licenses, and permits.
The legislation was introduced by Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley of Westlake Village.
It calls for developing tools which would allow new small business owners to get through the license, and permit application process in 24 hours or less.
