A massive upgrade for a Central Coast high school opened for students for the first time. Santa Maria’s Righetti High School has a new $22 million dollar high tech classroom complex. The three story building has 38 state of the art rooms.
Some of the new classrooms went into operation Monday, while others will be phased in during the next few weeks. They replace some more than half century old classrooms, as well as a number of portable classrooms.
The project was funded by a voter approved Santa Maria Joint Union High School bond measure.
