A man and woman are going to have an incredible story to tell, after apparently being stranded by snow on a remote Ventura County mountain area for two weeks. The two adults and their two dogs were stuck in their vehicle on Alamo Mountain, northwest of Castaic. They had run out of food and water.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter dropped off medics to help the two adults. Then, the man, the woman, and the two dogs were rescued using the helicopter’s hoist system.
The couple was on a camping trip, so they had some extra food. They eventually hiked to an area where they had cell phone service to call for help. Their names have not been released.
