A storm system is expected to bring rain to our region this weekend, but meteorologists say so far it looks like there won’t be major issues for brush fire burn zones. The latest tracking has the storm arriving on the Central Coast Saturday morning, and moving onto the South Coast Saturday afternoon and evening.
Predicted rainfall amounts are in the half inch to inch range on the coast and in the valleys, and an inch to an inch and a half in the foothills and mountains. A chance of thunderstorms could cause some locally heavy rainfall.
At this point, no evacuation watches or warnings are anticipated for brush fire burn areas. However, forecasters say there could be some minor mud flows and rocks washed onto roads in the Hill, and Woolsey fire areas.
