Conditions are looking good for the planned launch of a spy satellite from Santa Barbara County Wednesday night, a liftoff which may be visible throughout much of the state.

It's the fourth attempt to launch the Delta IV rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base.  Two takeoff attempts were scrubbed due to technical issues, and a third because of potentially hazardous wind conditions.

The launch is set for 5:44 Wednesday night, and if weather conditions remain clear, it could be visible from Orange County to the Bay Area.
