Plans to launch a spy satellite from the Central Coast Friday were cancelled over a communications issue, with the flight rescheduled for Saturday.
The United Launch Alliance planned to send the Delta IV rocket up during a launch window which opened at 8:19 p.m. Friday. It’s carrying a satellite from the National Reconnaissance Office.
The new launch window begins at 8:06 p.m. Saturday.
If the weather remains clear, the launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base should be visible throughout the Central and South Coasts. In fact, launch officials say it may be visible from Orange County to the Bay Area.
