Sections of a state highway on the South Coast are being fully closed during the overnight hours this week for a paving project.
Caltrans is shutting down sections of Highway 126 between Ventura and Santa Paula every night this week.
Tuesday night, the highway is being completely closed from Wells Road to Briggs Road in both directions, with traffic rerouted onto surface streets. The shutdown will be in place from around 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Wednesday night and Thursday morning, the 126 will be closed from Briggs Road to around Palm Avenue. Caltrans officials say motorists should use alternate routes if possible, because people could face delays.
