Santa Barbara County firefighters now say they have 20% containment of a 100 acre brush fire in the central part of the county.

The fire was reported just after 2 p.m. Friday on the 1000 block of Highway 246, west of Buellton. The blaze is burning in light grass. No structures are reported to be in immediate danger, but residents of the Bobcat Springs area have been alerted of the potential for problems should the fire continue to grow.

Firefighters are using helicopters and air tankers in their efforts to contain the blaze. There's no word on the cause yet.
