Ventura County Animal Services To Get Grant To Help Pet Owners In Need Keep Their Animals

Christmas is coming a little bit early for Ventura County’s animal shelters.

The PETCO Foundation, which is an offshoot of the pet supply chain, is going to present Ventura County Animal Services with $150,000 this week.

The county agency operates the largest no-kill open admission municipal animal shelter program in the state.

The grant money will be used for a pet retention program, which will help people like seniors on fixed incomes keep their dogs, cats, and other animals.
