Firefighters now have more than a third containment of a wild fire which has been burning in the Los Padres national Forest in Ventura County for a week.

The Pine Fire, which is in rugged terrain about 11 miles northeast of Ojai, has burned around 2200 acres of land, and is 35% contained. The fire has been tough to fight because of the rugged landscape, with some firefighters airlifted to the remote area.

No structures have been reported damaged. There’s no word on when full containment is expected. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
