Central Coast Man Gets 125 Years To Life Sentence For Abusing Foster Daughter

A Santa Barbara County man faces a 125 years to life prison sentence, after being convicted of sexually abusing his foster daughter over a two year long period.

A jury convicted Norbert Cruz of seven felony child abuse charges.

Santa Barbara County prosecutors say the 55 year old man abused the girl when she was between the ages of eight and ten years old in their home, making her promise not to tell anyone. After she was placed in another foster home, she told her new foster mother what had happened, leading to his prosecution.

The Santa Maria man will be sentenced next month.
