Man Struck And Killed On Highway 101 On South Coast Identified

A man who was struck, and killed while walking on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County is now being identified, but there's still no word yet as to why the CHP thinks he was on the roadway. Daniel Ramos of Santa Barbara was standing in the northbound fast lane of the 101 south of Turnpike Road, in Goleta around 10:30 last night when he was struck by a northbound car. The 34 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
