New Helicopter To Be Deployed In Santa Barbara County To Help Future Firefighting Efforts

Santa Barbara County will now have another firefighting helicopter for a front-country response during red-flag weather conditions.

Guardian helicopters out of Van Nuys will be relocating a fire helicopter when available.

Funding is coming from the Craig and Susan McCaw Foundation.

The county has 3 helicopters already, based in Santa Ynez.

This donation will the front-country vegetation fire response by staging the Guardian helicopter at the Santa Barbara airport.
