18 New COVID-19 Deaths Reported On Central, South Coasts; 1300 Addional Cases Reported

It’s been one of the roughest days in weeks in the battle against COVID-19 on the Central and South Coasts.  18 new coronavirus related deaths were reported in the region Tuesday. 

There were 11 deaths in Ventura County, three in Santa Barbara County and four in San Luis Obispo County.  

The number of new cases reported is also high.  Some 1300 people tested positive in the latest tally.  The total includes 993 in Ventura County, 256 in Santa Barbara County, and 63 in San Luis Obispo County.

The overall numbers include 37,572 cases in Ventura County, 16,732 in Santa Barbara County, and 9602 cases in San Luis Obispo County.  63,906 cases have been reported in the three counties since the virus first appeared in the region.
