One of the very unexpected impacts of the COVID-19 crisis has brought one of the nation’s best-known college football teams to Santa Barbara County.

The Stanford Cardinals are set to play UCLA at the Rose Bowl this weekend.  Because of coronavirus safety issues, Stanford moved its practices out of the Bay Area, and on the road for most of the season.

So, this week the team is in Santa Barbara, getting ready for its final game of the season Saturday night at the Rose Bowl.
