One of the South Coast most famous residents has announced that she has coronavirus.  Ellen DeGeneres tweeted Thursday that she tested positive for COVID-19.

The Montecito resident says she is feeling fine, and those who have been in close contact with her have been notified.

She did her show from her Santa Barbara County home for a few months, but in September resumed production with a number of safety protocols in place at her studio in Burbank.

Production has been shut down until January, with repeat broadcasts planned through the end of the year.
