Three additional coronavirus related deaths have been reported on the Central and South Coasts, bringing the region's total to nearly 300.
Ventura County had two new deaths, for a total of 152. Santa Barbara County added one death, for 114 overall. San Luis Obispo County has had 31 deaths. There have now been 297 coronavirus related deaths in the three counties.
131 new coronavirus cases were reported in the region Wednesday, with 80 in Ventura County, 34 in Santa Barbara County, and 17 in San Luis Obispo County. There have been 26,613 cases overall in the three counties since the start of the pandemic, with most of those diagnosed with the virus already recovered.
The number of new cases and the percentage of people testing positive are key factors in the state allowing counties to conduct more reopenings.
