All six of the bridges damaged in the 1/9 Debris Flow in 2018 will not be fully open until sometime this summer.

Residents and community leaders in Santa Barbara are talking to Caltrans about the work that's been underway now for a year.

The Montecito Creek Bridge has a completion date in July, with Toro Creek Bridge in June.

Sometime in the early spring, the other creek crossings should be finished, including Romero Creek and Arroyo Paredon Creek in Carpinteria.

Opening the bridge crossings is expected to help the traffic flow between Montecito and Carpinteria.

Many of the commuters now are using the 101, adding to the already-considerable congestion.
