A 36-page draft report of interested cannabis growers has been released by Santa Barbara County.

A public meeting held Wednesday went over many details.

The planning and development department is seeking public input in areas including the growing and selling of non-medicinal marijuana, all legalized with the voter-approved passage of Proposition 64.

There are many areas of concern including marijuana manufacturing, retail operations, lighting, and odors.

The public hearing yesterday will be followed by a similar public meeting tonight in the Santa Maria Government Center, and community members are invited to attend, ask questions, and provide input.
