UC Santa Barbara had an exciting, but short lived appearance in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
The Gauchos fell 74-56 to Baylor in the team's first-round game Friday morning.
Playing in front of a national television audience, UCSB played a strong first half, with only one point separating the teams at halftime. But, Baylor pulled away in the second half, limiting UCSB to 20 points.
Even though the loss eliminated the Gauchos from March Madness, it was a spectacular season for the team. They were the Big West Conference champions, and finished the season with a 27-8 record.
