The suspects are accused of breaking into the fairgrounds office to steal the cash.

Four men are set to appear in court Monday afternoon to face charges they stole more than a half million dollars in a burglary at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

It happened last August. Someone broke into the fairgrounds administrative offices, and stole the money. Community members were stunned by the crime.

Because the fairgrounds is state property, the CHP handled the investigation.

Working with local, state, and federal agencies, they identified four Los Angeles County men as suspects in the burglary. After getting search warrants, all four men were arrested on charges of theft of public money, burglary, grand theft, and conspiracy.
