Prosecutors say the victim's children witnessed the fatal shooting

A Ventura County man has received a 19-years-to-life sentence for killing his brother-in- law.

Jonathan Fuentes shot to death Ryan Switzer at the family’s home in Oxnard. The killing followed an argument between the men.

But, prosecutors say it was especially traumatic for the victim’s three kids, who witnessed the March, 2018 shooting.

Fuentes ultimately pled guilty to second degree murder.
