Former California Governor Pete Wilson and the U.S. Postmaster General were among those on hand for the ceremony.

A year-long celebration of the life of First Lady Nancy Reagan wrapped in Ventura County with the unveiling of a postage stamp in her honor.

Former California Governor Pete Wilson and U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy were a part of yesterday’s ceremony at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.

The stamp features an image of the late First Lady from her official 1987 White House portrait. It was unveiled last month at the White House, but officially dedicated at the Reagan Library.

She was first lady from 1981 to 1989. Among the issues she championed were trying to prevent drug and alcohol abuse among children, breast cancer awareness, and aid for Vietnam veterans.

Reagan died in 2016, and is buried next to her husband on the Simi Valley Library’s grounds.
