Arrest made for attack at South Coast party which left one person dead, and two wounded

Detectives take Oxnard man into custody following three month plus long investigation.

A Ventura County man has been arrested for an attack which left one person dead, and two others wounded at a party.

It happened March 12 in Oxnard. Police were called to the 3000 block of Saviers Road over reports of a shooting at a party in a closed business.

Adrian Sandoval of Oxnard was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Oxnard Police department and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office spent months gathering evidence in the case, leading to the arrest of an Oxnard man for the attack. Willis Nichols is facing murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon charges.
