A search for a Ventura County man reported to have mental health issues had a tragic ending.
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies launched a search in the Piru area Wednesday after family members reported Daniel Drum missing.
A search failed to find him. But early Thursday morning, deputies received reports of a disturbance at the family’s home. They found Drum’s father, who had been fatally injured.
Drum was found a few hours later in Piru. He’s being held on a murder charge.
