The latest COVID-19 surge is continuing to disrupt colleges on the Central and South Coasts.
Santa Barbara City College is shifting most of its classes online through February 17th. Some classes which require hands-on instruction will still occur.
For those classes, students will have to do a daily health check, and must wear an N95 or KN95 mask while on campus. SBCC’s Spring Semester starts January 18. The plan is for in person classes to resume February 22.
Meanwhile, Cal Lutheran is starting the first week of its spring semester online. Most undergraduates are set to start classes January 19 online, but will return to in-person learning January 24.
