Jobless rate continues to drop on Central, South Coasts

Latest numbers show statistics approaching pre-pandemic levels.

New figures show the jobless rates continue to drop on the Central and South Coasts, with the numbers approaching pre-pandemic levels.

Ventura County went from a 5.3% jobless rate in September to an even 5% in October. Santa Barbara County moved from 4.6% to 4.5%.

And, San Luis Obispo County also showed improvement, with the unemployment rate going from 4.5% in September to 4.3% in October.

Statewide, the month-to-month jobless rate went from 7.5% to 7.3%
