New requirement takes effect September 10.

The largest museum on the Central and South Coasts has added mandatory proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative test requirements for special event visitors.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will start enforcing the new rules September 10.

Special event visitors to the Simi Valley museum will have to show they are fully vaccinated, which means at least 14 days have passed since someone has received their final shot. Or, you can provide proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test for admission. The test must be within three days of the visit.

Library officials say the same guidelines applies to staff members, as well as speakers. The new rules are for special events, like lectures and speeches. The proof of vaccination or testing isn't required for regular museum visitors.
